Maryland DNR Joins F³Tech’s Saltwater Intrusion Awareness Symposium

maryland department of natural resourcesF³Tech is excited to announce Christine Conn, Ph.D., Director of the Office of Science and Stewardship for the Chesapeake and Coastal Service under the Maryland Department of Natural Resources is joining a panel to explore research and solutions to saltwater intrusion at a symposium in Annapolis, Maryland on November 22nd. 

Christine has been with the Department since 2000, developing decision support tools and policy initiatives for Chesapeake Bay restoration, land conservation and nature-based solutions for enhancing resiliency to climate change impacts. The Department is currently exploring how its model Coastal Resilience Easement can address wetland migration and saltwater intrusion impacts on agricultural and forested coastal lands.
