Holganix Seeks Eastern Shore Corn and Soy Farmers for Exclusive Fertilizer Trial

Easton, MD (November 3, 2021) –
Holganix, a 2021 F3 Tech portfolio company, is offering a free trial of its award-winning ProBiotic fertilizer, Holganix Bio 800+, to corn and soy farmers on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. F3 Tech, a leading commercialization program for early-stage companies supported by the nonprofit Eastern Shore Entrepreneurship Center, is funding the pilot program to aid the commercialization efforts of Holganix Bio 800+.

Holganix Bio 800+ is a microbial technology that harnesses the power of over 800 species of soil microbes and other soil amending ingredients to promote greater crop production and plant health. The product is currently used on more than 1 million acres of farmland in the U.S., with customers in nearly every state.

“We’ve seen results where farmers are increasing their yield tenfold,” said Barrett Ersek, CEO and founder of Holganix. “We are increasing our expansion into the agriculture sector and are focused on increasing revenue for farmers who provide corn and soy under poultry feed contracts.”

Holganix Bio 800+ was the among the winners of the recent U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the U.S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Next Gen Fertilizer Innovations Challenge. The challenge is part of a USDA-EPA partnership to advance agricultural sustainability in the U.S. and recognize technologies that improve the efficiency of fertilizers to increase crop yields while reducing the impacts of fertilizers on the environment.

“Investing in the adoption and distribution of technology that aids Eastern Shore farmers is a major focus for us as we help to diversify the success of local agriculture,” said Chris Hlubb, Program Director for F3 Tech.

Holganix will select 10 farmers for the free trial and provide product for up to 100 acres of crops for seven months.  To learn more and apply, click here: https://bit.ly/3BJvDDR
