ABOUT F3 TECH

More Than a Facility. A Platform for Advancement.

Your Science. Your Team. Our Infrastructure and Resources.

F3 Tech helps biotechnology and bioindustrial companies move from technical development toward manufacturing and market by combining specialized infrastructure, commercialization expertise, regulatory pathway support and an expanding network of technical, analytical and industry partners.

The Resources to Help Move a Company Forward

INFRASTRUCTURE

Specialized development and analytical capabilities for companies advancing biological products and processes.

COMMERCIALIZATION EXPERTISE

Experienced guidance focused on the technical, market and business milestones that move innovation toward commercialization.

REGULATORY PATHWAY SUPPORT

Access to expertise that helps companies identify regulatory requirements, anticipate evidence needs and incorporate regulatory considerations into development planning.

SPECIALIZED PARTNERS

An expanding network of analytical, technical, research, regulatory and commercialization resources that can be brought into a project when additional capabilities are required.

Development Infrastructure in Easton, Maryland

F3 Tech operates a specialized biotechnology development facility designed to give companies access to capabilities they may not have—or may not be ready to build—themselves.

BIOPROCESSING

Process-development laboratories equipped with 10L bioreactors for qualified fermentation and bioprocess development, optimization, repeatability and scale-readiness work.

ANALYTICAL

A separate wet analytical laboratory with LC-MS and SPR for appropriate characterization and interaction-analysis needs.

DEDICATED PROJECT SPACE

Dedicated laboratory environments that allow qualified companies to conduct focused development work using F3 Tech infrastructure.

THIRD-PARTY TESTING

Projects can extend beyond F3 Tech’s in-house capabilities through qualified external analytical and testing resources, including Eurofins when appropriate.

Technical Progress Is Only Part of Commercialization

Moving a biological technology toward market requires more than successful experiments. Companies must determine what evidence matters next, how technical development connects to customer and investor requirements, and what must be demonstrated before advancing toward manufacturing.

F3 Tech helps companies connect those decisions.

MILESTONE DEFINITION

Identify the technical or commercialization milestone that should drive the next stage of development.

DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY

Connect technical work to the evidence needed for customers, partners, investors, grants or manufacturing decisions.

SCALE READINESS

Assess what must be demonstrated before moving from bench development toward larger-scale processing.

COMMERCIALIZATION PATHWAY

Help companies evaluate partners, resources and next-stage requirements as they move toward market.

CAPITAL & MARKET READINESS

Strengthen the technical and commercialization story supporting financing, partnerships and customer engagement.

Build Regulatory Thinking Into the Development Path

Regulatory requirements can shape product development, testing, claims, manufacturing and market entry. Addressing those considerations early can help companies avoid developing evidence or processes that do not support the pathway they ultimately need.

PATHWAY IDENTIFICATION

Help companies identify the regulatory frameworks and agencies likely to apply to their product and intended market.

EVIDENCE PLANNING

Connect anticipated regulatory requirements with testing, characterization, validation and documentation needs.

DEVELOPMENT ALIGNMENT

Incorporate regulatory considerations into technical milestones and development planning before scale-up or market entry.

SPECIALIZED EXPERTISE

Connect companies with qualified regulatory specialists and other third-party expertise when a project requires product- or market-specific guidance.

The Right Capability Doesn’t Always Have to Be Under One Roof

No single facility can—or should—own every capability a biotechnology company may need.

F3 Tech is building a network model that combines our own infrastructure and expertise with specialized third-party resources. When a project requires capabilities beyond F3 Tech, we can help identify and integrate appropriate analytical, technical, research, regulatory and commercialization partners.

Your team doesn’t need to build or own every capability it needs. F3 Tech can help assemble the infrastructure, expertise and specialized resources required to move the project forward.

Capabilities That Grow With the Project

Start With the Milestone, Not the Equipment

Companies come to F3 Tech at different stages and with different needs. Some need access to infrastructure. Others need analytical evidence, process development, regulatory pathway guidance, specialized expertise, commercialization assistance—or a combination of resources.

Our starting question is simpler:

What does your company need to accomplish next?

From there, F3 Tech can help determine the infrastructure, expertise, evidence, regulatory considerations and partners required to pursue that milestone.

Building Toward a Larger Bioindustrial Platform

F3 Tech’s current Easton facility provides a foundation for company development, analytical work and commercialization support.

Our longer-term work extends beyond today’s facility. F3 Tech is helping advance a broader Maryland–Delaware bioindustrial ecosystem connecting research, agriculture, feedstocks, pilot-scale infrastructure, workforce and manufacturing.
